Fine-blend established expert workstations to respond to market demand for biode

In the golden autumn of October, with the fragrance of Osmanthus flowers and the abundance of fruits, in this season of harvest, Fine-blend Company's Shanghai Expert Workstation for 2023 has been approved and established after examination, which will greatly promote the vigorous development of Fine-blend. Under the regulations of the plastic restriction order, biodegradable plastics have advantages such as environmental protection, wide sources, and degradability. They not only conform to the trend of environmental protection in consumer products but also have great development potential and market prospects. Although biodegradable plastics have been used in packaging, medical, and agricultural fields, large-scale applications still face challenges. As a company focusing on high molecular weight functional additives in the traditional plastics industry, Fine-blend has been deeply engaged in this field for many years. Under the goals of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the "dual carbon" target, it has the responsibility and obligation to develop and promote new technologies and accelerate the industrialization of advanced polymer materials, providing technical support for the innovative development of biodegradable plastics.

Fine-blend has always paid attention to the recycling and high-performance utilization of biodegradable materials and polymer materials. Previously, it has launched the Bio-Master® and Eco-Batch® series, which are specifically targeted at the biodegradable materials and recycled markets, including products such as SG-20, 3510P, and Bio-3121. Among them, the high molecular weight chain extender HPC-3510P can effectively increase the melt strength of biodegradable materials (such as PLA, PBAT, PBS) at a low dosage, improve their mechanical properties, improve their processing stability, and meet various processing requirements (such as foaming and film blowing), without affecting the overall performance of the biodegradable materials.

However, with the rapid development of the industry, the development of biodegradable plastics has also encountered various obstacles. Its comprehensive performance is lower than that of traditional plastics, its application field is narrower, and its production costs are higher. These issues still need to be addressed urgently. How to balance the relationship between the degradation rate of biodegradable plastics and the retention rate of their comprehensive performance will limit the promotion and use of this material. Therefore, Fine-blend has applied for the establishment of an expert workstation and hired Professor Zhu Jun from Shanghai Jiao Tong University as the chief research and development expert. Relying on the workstation and under the leadership and guidance of Professor Zhu's multidisciplinary background and experience, Fine-blend will carry out a series of in-depth research, deepen its efforts in the fields of biodegradable plastics and high-performance recycled materials, enhance Fine-blend's innovation capabilities in the field of biodegradable materials, provide more valuable solutions for the industry, and contribute to sustainable development and green carbon reduction environmental protection.

The establishment of this workstation has been recognized and supported by the Shanghai Science and Technology Association. Fine-blend will conscientiously implement the "Opinions on Implementing the Action Plan for Scientific and Technological Economic Integration Development by China Association for Science and Technology" issued by the Shanghai Science and Technology Association. Guided by the "Science and Technology Innovation China—Shanghai Action", relying on the expert workstation, Fine-blend will give full play to the initiative and creativity of scientific researchers, strive for innovation and progress, and serve society with scientific and technological achievements as soon as possible. We will contribute our modest strength to the field of biodegradable plastics and make a contribution to global environmental protection.
