FB521A
Product Description:
Fine-Blend® FB521A is a maleic anhydride functionalized semi-crystalline ethylene copolymer with excellent flexibility and elasticity. Its fully saturated backbone results in outstanding thermal and oxidative stability leading to enhanced weatherability. Moreover, its elastomeric nature provides high impact resistance at room and low temperature when compounding with engineering polymers such as polyamide.
This grade is designed as:
Nylon impact modifier - Enhance the room and low temperature flexibility of nylon (PA6 and PA66) with higher flowability and processability;
Adhesion promoter - Using as concentrate grade to promote adhesion of unmodified polyethylene and polypropylene to polar materials such as Metal, Nylon, EVOH, et al;
Compatibilizer - Acting as a solid surfactant to increase interphase adhesion and achieve compatibility between most commonly used polar polymers (such as Nylon) and polyolefins;
Coupling agent - Acting as macromolecule coupling agent for Halogen Free Flame Retardant (Commonly Al (OH) 3 and Mg (OH) 2) filled polyolefin-based wire and cable compounds.

Processing information
Fine-Blend® FB521A can be processed over a wide range of conditions. The typical processing temperature range is from 150℃ to 300℃, and it is related to the type of extruder, screw design, screw speed, yield and the residence time etc.
Storage, handling and safety
Fine-Blend® FB521A should be stored in dry conditions protect from high temperature and UV-light. Improper storage conditions may cause degradation and have consequences on physical properties of the product.
