Fine-blend®SAG-008 has a good effect on increasing viscosity and chain extension for post-consumer PC, PA, PET and PLA, as a result, improving the mechanical properties of recycled materials.

Mechanism and Advantage

Fine-blend®SAG-008 is a reactive chain extender with high epoxy content and higher reaction activity. The recycled polyester materials often degrade seriously by many times shearing or thermal history, which leads to broad molecular weight distribution. SAG-008 has a high concentration of epoxy group, which can react with the terminal groups of the recycled polyester to prevent further degradation, increasing the melt viscosity and improving processing stability.
